The diagnosis and management of neuropathic pain in elderly individuals are ongoing challenges. These are chronic pains whose prevalence increases with age. Clinical screening does not benefit from scales specifically designed for the elderly, and the choice of drug treatment is not governed by the same rules as nociceptive pain. It is based on the general recommendations of the SFETD from 2010, which we adapt here with a geriatric approach.
